How we can help —

 

With our model you'll work closely with one of our coaches to implement a wellness-oriented website or to improve health conditions. Our team physician and founder, Dr. Laura Houser, is our personal medical resource. She serves as a medical provider for some of our local clients, but you're not required to be under her care to participate in our programs.

Dr. Houser founded this concept to ensure that the principles and resources of lifestyle medicine could be made available to any and everyone! Ultimately she's here to help us serve you by being available to answer questions, provide her medical expertise, and feature in our classes or programs to share her wealth of knowledge on women's health and functional medicine.

Laura Houser, MD

I’m a board certified OB/GYN and practicing partner at Columbus Obstetricians-Gynecologists Inc. — I treat common gynecologic problems with a functional medicine approach, which includes foundational functional medicine principles.  I also encourage my patients to work with their primary care physicians for general health care needs.

After practicing obstetrics and gynecology for over 20 years,  I realized that I needed to make changes in my own diet and lifestyle if I wanted to improve my lifespan, and healthspan as well.  My search for better care for myself AND my patients led me to the Institute for Functional Medicine.  After taking my first course I was hooked and ready to learn all I could!  I was finally learning how to help patients be WELL, not just how to prescribe medication or recommend surgical procedures.  Functional medicine has made me passionate once again about my work — sharing this information is now my purpose.

I created Live Well 365 to do just that. I saw a need to provide my patients (and you!) a broader platform to address health care needs.

Functional medicine uses a team approach towards healing, and at Live Well 365, this team includes you, a health coach, a registered dietitian and physician.  This model provides the guidance and coaching needed to achieve your health care goals.

Olivia Small, RDN

I'm a LiveWell 365 Admin and Registered Dietitian who uses nutrition and lifestyle change as tools to achieve optimal health. I currently work with pregnant and postpartum women on nutrition and breastfeeding. I also have a passion for weight management, metabolic health, and functional medicine.

I aim to help you set achievable wellness goals, develop a healthy relationship with food + your body, and achieve long-term success using the latest and most accurate information available! I'm here to guide you to make sustainable behavior changes following nutrition & lifestyle guidelines that work for your life!

It’s my goal to help you skip the BS and simplify nutrition — by giving you the facts and support you need to succeed!

As the dietitian for Live Well 365 will be few different ways that we can work together. Currently I’m available for personalized 1:1 sessions. I’m also working on a self-paced program with Dr. Houser to help you take those first steps towards weight loss, improved digestion, increased energy, and more! Stay tuned!

Caitlin Pfeil, FMCHC, CPT

The kind of world I want to live in celebrates holistic health with a focus on balance, where body positivity is the norm and where “bad” foods don’t exist. It’s possible with small but powerful steps, accountability and support and, dare I say, making it fun!

Over five years ago, I knew I had to make a change. At my heaviest, I was fifty pounds overweight, tired and moody, with skin issues, allergies, and frequent headaches. I joined a gym, became a trainer and my passion led me to fitness competitions. Competing taught me extreme drive and motivation, patience and discipline, but definitely not balance. Now, I’m an advocate for balancing physical, mental and emotional health, which I’ve seen spill over into and improve all different areas in my own life and in the lives of my family, friends, and clients.

I’m a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach and an NCCA Certified Personal Trainer, with a specialization in fitness nutrition, and a Lifestyle Educator. I look forward to meeting you and working with you to help you achieve your goals and live your best balanced life!
