Hi ya! My name is Olivia and I'm the new dietitian with Live Well 365 — here to provide personalized nutrition services targeted your health goals in the areas of weight management and the maternal journey using an integrative-functional approach.

I aim to simplify nutrition by giving you the facts and empowering your self-confidence. Working together means I'll be a guide on your wellness journey. Helping you work towards your goals while to honoring your body, optimizing your lifestyle and using nutrition to achieve results that last!

About Me

My wellness journey has probably looked a lot like yours…spending hours researching the best diet: clean eating, paleo, gluten-free, and everything in between, just to end up confused. Now, after years of education I’m here to help you skip the BS, simplify your diet, and reinvigorate your relationship with food!

Some of you might be wondering, "what is a dietitian?" Well, dietitians are nutrition professionals who have standardized training requirements, a code of ethics, a governing body, and in many states require a license to practice. Credibility is necessary when presenting health information in any setting and dietitians are expected to practice from an evidence-based model. I know what you might be thinking… not all science is good science. You’re right! Corporation-funded studies and conflicts of interest can complicate the validity of research findings, but this is why health professionals spend years in training. Not only to learn the scientific foundations and concepts, but also to gain the skills needed to decipher prevalent research and the claims made in the medical/nutrition field.

As a health consumer having evidence-based information empowers you with the knowledge to make informed decisions. Blanket statements and one-size-fits all philosophies can hurt more than help. Although nutrition seems so uniform, everyone is unique and what works for one may not work for another! Once you have the facts, you can choose what to implement to benefit your health!

I aim to help you establish your goals, develop a better relationship with your body, and achieve success using the latest and most accurate information I have available. Guiding you to making sustainable behavior changes following nutrition & lifestyle guidelines that work for your life!

My 'Why'

I’ve always had a passion for healthcare — for the majority of my life I dreamt about becoming a physician and it wasn’t until college when I started to think about the role nutrition plays in our health. As I learned more about the nutrition field I slowly changed the trajectory of my career towards dietetics. During this time I also started a minor in integrative approaches to health and wellness where I was inspired by the different historical philosophies in healthcare. Here, I saw the potential for what healthcare could be like and I knew I wanted to take a more unconventional route.

Through this program I was introduced to the concept of functional medicine — a systems-biology approach to healthcare that focuses on finding and correcting the root cause of dysfunction to achieve optimal health. Now as a nutrition professional, I continue to pursue advanced training in this growing area of medicine to shape my practice philosophy.

Health & wellness is more than just following the latest trends — making nutrition and lifestyle changes can be very difficult! Having the information is one thing, but creating sustainable behavior change is another. For most, you get overwhelmed and quit from the start, get swallowed up by wellness trends, cycle between quick fix programs, or are stuck in endless yo-yo dieting. Despite our best efforts, many don’t achieve success, and in the process develop unhealthy relationships with food and our bodies. But don’t get discouraged! Putting it together truly is the hardest part.

Here is where the cycle ends — working with me 1:1 means tackling behavior change together and bypassing all the confusion. We dive deep to determine your ‘why’ and use this as a guide towards meeting your goals. Using a partnership approach we personalize your journey and work to create behaviors that will last!
