Food as Medicine Guides

Live Well 365 is rooted in lifestyle and functional medicine principles — while all of the lifestyle factors are important for overall health, you can’t out work a poor diet.

We use food as medicine as a key principle that we continue to emphasize with our clients. These food plans are designed by the Institute for Functional Medicine and are tools to help you along your health journey.

Core Food Plan

The Core Food Plan is a flexible, foundational approach to eating — less rigid than a traditional meal plan, but with clear guidance on building meals around whole, clean foods. The emphasis is on quality protein, healthy fats, fiber, and phytonutrients to support your body from the inside out.

When you download the full Core Food Plan, you'll receive:

  • Delicious recipes and snack ideas

  • A practical shopping guide

  • Meal inspiration to keep things fresh and simple

  • A comprehensive reference guide to support your nutrition education

Elimination Diet

The Elimination Diet is a short-term eating plan designed to identify foods that may be triggering adverse reactions — such as headaches, digestive issues, or inflammation. By temporarily removing common culprits and systematically reintroducing them, you gain clarity on how specific foods affect your body.

The ultimate goals are simple: heal the gut and build a sustainable, varied whole-food diet that delivers all the nutrients your body needs to thrive.

Cardiometabolic Food Plan

The Cardiometabolic Food Plan is designed for those living with — or at risk for — chronic metabolic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic syndrome. Research consistently shows that targeted diet and lifestyle changes are among the most effective tools for managing and even reversing these conditions.

This plan follows a modified Mediterranean approach, featuring:

  • Low-glycemic foods to support stable blood sugar

  • High fiber intake for heart and digestive health

  • Quality fats and rich phytonutrients to reduce inflammation and support overall metabolic function
