Frequently Asked Questions:
I was referred to LiveWell 365 for health coaching. How do I get started?
If you’re ready to get started with our health coach Caitlin, we suggest you schedule an Initial Consult with her.
This is the best way to identify what type of support you need and for how long. Dr. Houser recommends scheduling a consult with Caitlin, even before you see her for your first visit, to identify and address many of the diet and lifestyle imbalances that are driving our chronic health issues.
What role will my health coach play?
A Functional Medicine health coach, like a sports coach, will teach you, mentor you, help you build resilience, and motivate you to succeed.
Your coach is your partner, your ally, your listener, and is fully committed to supporting you in achieving your health & wellness goals. However, a coach does not diagnose illness, provide treatments or prescribe medicine.
The coach helps fill the gap created when you know what’s wrong and what to do, but struggle to do it. If you don’t know what’s wrong, or don’t know what to do, your coach can connect you with the right professionals that can meet those needs.
How does it work?
Everyone is different and every session is catered to each specific client. This is because each client has personal health concerns and tailored wellness goals.
How long will it take?
Everyone’s situation is unique and the length of time needed to accomplish your goals depends on your willingness to commit to change. But healing takes time, so best results are seen with those who commit to 4-6 months of coaching.
What can I do to get the most out of coaching?
Active participation and dedication is crucial to your success. It’s the work you do outside of the coaching sessions that will help you see your personal growth and development.
